Grow a Chicken Fighter Ascension Egg Guide
Update 2 shell with five chickens including the secret Eclipse Hen—earned via Milestones and Arena ranks.
The Ascension Egg is the headline new egg added in Update 2 to Grow a Chicken Fighter on Roblox (place 94640181989498 by Sergio Verse Games). It hatches one of five high-rarity chickens and is currently earned only through Rebirth Milestones and Chicken Arena rank rewards. Use this guide with Chicken Arena, Rebirth Milestones, Best eggs, and the Egg types catalog.
Five chickens, five rarities
The Ascension Egg hatches a roster that leans heavily into high-rarity and secret slots:
| Chicken | Rarity tier | Hatch rate |
|---|---|---|
| Skyscrest Rooster | Mythic | 55% |
| Halo Hen | Divine | 27% |
| Oracle Chick | Celestial | 12% |
| Seraph Rooster | Cosmic | 5% |
| Eclipse Hen | Secret | 1% |
Numbers are community-captured from the Update 2 roll-out and are subject to seasonal balance shifts. The rates add to 100%, so read them as a single lottery: one Ascension Egg is one draw, and the game does not currently guarantee you a slot in a higher tier if you keep hatching.
How to get Ascension Eggs
There are exactly two confirmed sources in Update 2:
- Rebirth Milestones — one Ascension Egg each at Rebirth 10, Rebirth 100, and Rebirth 250. That is three Ascension Eggs per account through the milestone ladder alone.
- Chicken Arena rank rewards — Master V (2200 trophies) grants one Ascension Egg, and Grandmaster I (top 1% by trophies) grants three.
If Sergio Verse Games adds another path later (shop bundle, event drop, or quest reward), it will show up on this page and on What’s new.
Reading the rarity tiers
Grow a Chicken Fighter uses a stack of rarity classes that you can read in the egg index. From the documented roster:
- Mythic — the body of the table. Skyscrest Rooster is the most common Ascension pull and should be the slot you weaponize if you intend to fuse with anything.
- Divine / Celestial — Halo Hen and Oracle Chick fill the A-tier roster. They sit between standard Mythics and Cosmic-tier specials.
- Cosmic — Seraph Rooster is rare and usually worth locking its Special for a high-value fuse target.
- Secret — Eclipse Hen is the rarest documented slot in Update 2 and behaves like an alternate Storm Colossus for showcase and high-skill play. Expect it to dominate end-of-season PvP ladders once its combat ceiling is documented.
If you keep hatching Skyscrest Rooster, do not be alarmed. The rarity spread favors quantity of Mythics, and the Secret slot is by design difficult. Plan your roster accordingly.
Strategies to maximize Ascension Egg value
Pull under Hatch Luck boosts
Both the Chicken Arena ladder and Rebirth Milestones grant Hatch Luck buffs alongside Ascension Egg rewards. Stack your hatches on the day you claim those boosts; each new egg pulled during the buff rolls into the boosted table. Outside that window the table is fixed.
Lock the Special before fusing
Lock any Ascension pull’s Special before experimenting with fusion. Update 2 designer notes specifically flag Voodoo, Cycle of Ash, and STORMCALL as the costliest skills to lose in casual fuse experiments. The lock UI should expose before the fusion confirmation prompt.
Decide your carry candidate early
Four of the five Ascension chickens can plausibly fill a slot in a Rebirth 5+ Arena ladder. Skyscrest Rooster is the most easily replaceable because of supply; Halo Hen makes a better mid-roster carry; Oracle Chick is the highest of the “safe” picks. Reserve Seraph Rooster and Eclipse Hen as fuse donors or showcase carries rather than role filler.
Pool eggs before opening
If you are sitting on three or four Ascension Eggs, hatch them in a single Hatch Luck window so the database you build is from one buff. Comparing results is meaningless across different Hatch Luck states.
What to do with each pull
- Skyscrest Rooster (Mythic, 55%) — keep the first copy as an Incubator candidate if you have Incubator slots free; sell or fuse duplicates once you have a full roster skill.
- Halo Hen (Divine, 27%) — keep at least one for Arena drafting. Divine-tier specials are usually tied to defensive combos; that fits slot two on most ladder plans.
- Oracle Chick (Celestial, 12%) — keep. Celestial specials tend to define the meta when they are introduced, so do not recycle the first copy.
- Seraph Rooster (Cosmic, 5%) — lock the Special immediately. Fuse copies only when you have confirmed the donor slot does not break your carry.
- Eclipse Hen (Secret, 1%) — keep, showcase, and rebuild your Arena lineup around its combat ceiling. This is the one Ascension pull you should screenshot and share.
Common mistakes
- Recycling the first copy of a new Ascension chicken because its basic stats do not look impressive. As with Colossus Egg, Update 2’s new chickens need a full season of testing before any “garbage tier” verdict.
- Hatching during 0 Hatch Luck state when an Arena ladder Hatch Luck boost sits unused for 20 more minutes.
- Forgetting to claim Milestone Ascension Eggs from the Rebirth menu after Update 2.
- Treating the Ascension Egg as a Fusion target when the roster is so fresh that no tested fuse target exists yet.
Editorial honesty
- Hatch rates are community-captured, not officially published. Confirm by reading the Egg Index on your client.
- Stat sheets per chicken are still being documented. We will fill them in as community captures land.
- Ascension chickens are not yet confirmed as parents of any new egg type. Update 2 may add that in a later patch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers tied to this page.
How rare is the Eclipse Hen from the Ascension Egg?
About 1%, the lowest published hatch rate in Update 2. Treat it as a Secret-tier long-term goal, not a guaranteed pull.
Where do I get Ascension Eggs?
Through Rebirth Milestones at Rebirths 10, 100, and 250, and through Chicken Arena Master V (1 egg) and Grandmaster I (3 eggs) rank rewards.
Should I fuse Ascension chickens immediately?
No. Lock the Special first, then decide. Update 2 is too new to have a peer-reviewed fusion table.
Can Ascension Eggs come from codes?
Not in Update 2. Codes grant Cash, eggs, and 2x Money or Corn buffs. Eggs from codes are Nest, Thunder, Scratch, Royal, or Fortune class shells—not Ascension.
