The Incubator (also called incubation chamber) is the Update #1 quality-of-life spike in Grow a Chicken Fighter. You slot a hen; it generates eggs from that hen’s lay pool while you fight, climb, or log off. Community guides place the unlock after Rebirth 3 for about 300,000 Money. Upgrades are one-time purchases that do not reset on rebirth, which is why rushing a naked first rebirth just to “see the button” is usually a trap. Unlock checklist
- Climb toward the community TOWER floor ~25 rebirth gate and actually rebirth until you hold Rebirth 3—read the live panel, not a Discord screenshot (TOWER bosses).

- Buy the Incubator once. Do not treat it like feeder food that you repurchase every life.

What the Incubator is for
Offline laying already exists for the coop. Incubation is the targeted version: one high-value farmer producing while your combat chicken stays in the PIT or TOWER. That split is how Colossus farming stops competing with Cash. A useful two-Founder setup (Roonby): one deployed, one incubating, extras fused for lay speed (How to fuse).
Storage scales with incubator upgrades and, in some reports, rebirth count. If you AFK for hours, buy cap upgrades so eggs are not deleted or stalled. Community notes also mention online luck boosters that accrue while you stay in the server—helpful for 25% Colossus rolls, not a substitute for more cycles.
Slotting rules that prevent expensive mistakes
- Never incubate a unique PIT carry “because it is strong.” Combat power does not lay Colossus Eggs. Founder does.
- Never incubate your only Stone Face during a 404 hunt unless a duplicate farmer exists (404 Chick).
- Do incubate Founder once Colossus is the goal (Colossus Egg).
- Do incubate a 100% shell farmer (Static Chick for Thunder, Rooster of Fortune for Royal, Probe for Void) when that branch is still open.

Rebirth interaction (read this twice)
Incubator level and unlock persist. Chicken levels may or may not persist depending on whether the hen was in the chamber when you clicked rebirth. Mid-August clips described a “park strongest hen → rebirth → withdraw still-leveled hen → rush TOWER → repeat” shortcut. Gamezebo reports that fast-rebirth method was patched around 17 August 2026; leftover old servers were a temporary loophole, not a strategy this wiki recommends. Play current shards. Before any rebirth: empty or resolve eggs if the panel says they wipe, know whether the incubated hen stays, and do not click reset at minute five of LETMECOOK (Codes, Code rewards).

Pre-Rebirth 3: ignore incubator FOMO. Finish codes (EGGSCELLENT, WELCOME, timed LETMECOOK / SERGIOVERSE), Community Thunder, PIT baselines, and floor 25 awareness. Save toward 300K instead of panic-buying cosmetics.
Unlock day: buy Incubator → slot your best egg hen → PIT with your best fight hen → collect on a timer, not every 20 seconds.
Colossus week: Founder in chamber, fuse extra Founders for speed, contest Chicken Boss when 1M damage is realistic, hatch Colossus in batches.
404 / Royal week: Stone Face or Rooster of Fortune in chamber while you run PIT Cash for feeder and fuse costs.

Economy notes
Three hundred thousand is a mid-account tax, not a beginner purchase. If upgrades stall because you hoard for Incubator while PIT times are still terrible, buy attack first (Increase attack). The chamber multiplies a working farmer; it does not create Founder from a Classic Rooster.
Corn versus Cash: SERGIOVERSE may show 2x Corn or 2x Money—route the buff you actually received (Corn and resources). Incubator cost is reported in Money, so money windows still matter on unlock day.
