Egg types alone are not enough in Grow a Chicken Fighter. Progress comes from egg routes: keep the chicken that lays the next shell, hatch that shell, replace the farmer when a better route bird appears, and only then sell leftovers. Why routes beat random hatching
Random Nest spam fills inventory and burns Cash. Route play means every kept chicken has a job: fight in the PIT, unlock the next egg, feed fusion, or print Cash under feeder/recycler loops. Check the Flock index before you sell—many “weak” birds are the only path to Charm, Cursed, Arena, or Void branches.

Nest → Scratch → Thunder starter spine
- Finish tutorial, redeem codes (How to redeem, Codes hub).
- Claim the Community Thunder Egg under Rewards → Community (Getting started).
- Hatch Nest / Thunder / Scratch rewards during active play—not after logout.
- Watch for Cosmo Brat / Cosmo Chicken, Farmer Chicken, and especially Viking Chicken. Viking bridges Scratch and Thunder lays and is one of the best early keepers.
- Only sell Nest duplicates after you confirm they do not open a branch you still need (Sell chickens).
Scratch mid-routes: Charm, Cursed, Dinner, Circuit, Arena, Royal
After Scratch is online, Bull Chicken, NPC Chicken, and related Scratch pulls open mid eggs. Do not fodder every mid chicken into fuse the same day you hatch it. Priority checkpoints:
- Cursed Egg — secret 404 Chick chain; keep Cosmo Brat → NPC Chick → Stone Face.
- Arena Egg — hunt for Agent Cluck (also Creep Clown / Spidey Chicken). Agent unlocks Fortune Egg.
- Charm Egg — keep Ballerina Hen for Balloon Egg.
- Dinner / Circuit / Royal — expand collection and fusion parents; PIT-test before you trash.
Thunder branch: Ordnance and Void
Thunder bloodlines feed Commando Rooster (Ordnance Egg) and Astro Chick (Void Egg). Void is scarce—never sell Astro route birds until you have banked the egg goal. Ordnance may appear as “Ordinance” in some UIs; trust the in-game index spelling.
Special eggs and dead ends
- Blazing Egg — Hot Event last-hold or
40KCCUwhile it lives. Community reports ~25% Golden Goose from Blazing versus ~1% on Fortune (Events, Codes). - Colossus Egg — Founder Rooster in the Incubator (~25% lay) or Chicken Boss personal damage. Hatched Colossus birds do not lay more Colossus Eggs (Colossus Egg).
- Growth Egg / Grudge Egg — reported unobtainable as of mid-August 2026. Do not buy “unlock” Discord scams (Script safety, Discord).

When two birds are close on DPS, keep the one that still opens an egg you lack. Raw attack helps now; route birds create the next upgrade without another lucky shop roll.
Session templates that respect routes
15 minutes: Redeem/claim Community if free, hatch sitting eggs, PIT set, sell only confirmed junk.
30 minutes with 2x Money: PIT + scrap recycle, hatch Thunder/Scratch, check Flock for Viking/Cosmo/Agent, light fuse only if carry upgrades (Make money fast, Fast grinding).
Route night: Park combat ego. AFK Cosmo or Stone Face toward the next shell, then batch-hatch. Invite friends for money boosts when you return to PIT.
Common route mistakes
- Redeeming boost codes then AFKing menus.
- Selling Cosmo Brat / Viking / Agent / Ballerina / Astro before the branch is done.
- Chasing Growth/Grudge with Robux middlemen.
- Ignoring Chaos / Hot timers while grinding Nest forever.
- Fusing your only route chicken “because rarity.”
